The Musician

One thing I always said
I'll never marry a musician
I was hanging by a thread
I even game him an audition
so he quit the band before
we ever tied the knot
then after he did explore
back in the band he got
This has been the case now
for thirteen something years
I'm not sure as to how
but he learned to face his fears
They have mostly been disbanded
but now they're back again
They have recently expanded
it seems that they will win
There's nothing else to say
for this is what this is
Though absent I will be okay
While he enjoys the biz

I used to be a musician, also. It landed me into trouble at times. I really can't be around that type of environment anymore. It wasn't any legal things and such. It's all good, though. Thanks for reading and your comment. :) Love, Angie

You have poetry, he has music--a powerful duo in my opinion, Angela. Enjoyed the theme--you gave voice to many who may feel this way.

Thank you, Vijay. I appreciate you reading and commenting. He told me that he wants to use my poem "The Black Widow" and turn it into a song. Yes, we are a good duo. :) Peace, Angie

You must make it a rule that he should not practice at home. You seem to be quite happy alone though. Interesting concept. ~~

I'm okay alone, but I'm the type of person that likes to spend all of my time with someone and he may be traveling. Thanks for reading and commenting. :) Peace, Angie
