The Music Sinks In
The taste of music lingers on the tip of angelic tongues.
The notes taste sweet, but the melody tastes sweeter.
Every note kisses soft ears with harmony's lips,
Leaving wet rhythms of passion behind.
Each note flies over the serene crowd.
One sweet note begins to fall upon them.
Its descent is slow but peaceful.
The note lands upon worn skin and sinks in.
As the notes disappear, a numbness replaces the notes as the song ends.
All that is left is the slight taste of the melody still upon their tongues.
