The Music of Life

A distant sound grows louder,
music of the hypnotic kind.
A song the pied piper might play,
smooth and enticing.
Looking down to see feet moving,
changing now to slow dance.
That time when the air brims,
that melts two people together.
The singers' soft soothing voice,
hints of the magic of the moment.
The lights are shimmering and white,
shining on a ballyhoo of bodies,
dancing across the Earth.
Then a realization creeps in,
how we live in a world,
where life plays with the music,
and the dawn keeps time!
