humankind

the great icebergs once anchored safely in their own domain
ever
          so,
                     so,
                                s
                                          l
                                                  o
                                                           w
                                                                    l
                                                                               y

                                      commence a catastrophic journey.
                                   
                                   footsteps
                                        below
                                           the
                                            ice
                                                   submerge our lies.

                                     it was us
                                                                                         
speedingthroughtime 

                                     it was us who overshot our mark.

And are the footsteps below the ice, the remains of mankind after the destruction? well, I want to sign off tonight letting you know I appreciate your flattering remark at my latest post. It was an oldie that I did a MAJOR revision to. I changed it up a lot to meet that contest requirement.

Maybe I will check out just a few on the new poems list and get off to start dinner. This one is a bit mysterious to me. I really like the way you played with your lines. Is it a general indictment of mankind or is it pertaining to some actual historical occurrence. With the mention of submarines, I think it may have to do with something in modern history. Sorry for being dense. Another thought: is it about global warming? That was what I first was thinking. well, goodbye for the night!!
