The Mouse With A Hat

The mouse with the hat ran
 to me doing combat,
They made me feel short and fat,
I just wanted to eat cheese and chat,
I always dreamed I'd be an American aristocrat,
My reflection tells me I'm a blind bat,
I wish I could change my life's
foreign format,
I try to fly but I always fall flat,
Maybe I should stop being a wet bathmat,
Tomorrow, I’m going to try and be fierce like a wildcat.

Dear sabrina, you definitely sound like one that rhymes effortlessly and seamlessly! And this is such a fun poem, i smiled as i read this, especially love the lines “ My reflection tells me I'm a blind bat, “ and the cheese line too hah! So clever! Exactly what a mouse would want too. Iv had some crazy experiences with them and i fear them, however this poem made me smile! Brilliant! Pleasure reading your work. Sending you light always. Best wishes for the contest
