The Mortal In Immortality

Pitter Patter, Pitter Patter. The shadow is back again, knocking awkwardly on my door. I ignore it again. Every hour after the next, It knocks on my door again This time I changed my mind I welcomed the shadow in. It was but my own reflection, staring back at me stunned, I stared in my reflections, Deep dark eyes so profound. I’m sorry for the insistence, it said I came as soon as I could I traveled with eternity dragging my feet, so I must go really soon. I came to carry a message from my dear friend death He said he shall see you before you take your last breath. Soon like me he will knock at your door, he won’t hurt nor take you, or so it seems He will though look into your deepest sins. He shall probe and shall dig. And he shall send the sin eaten to rid you of your sins. Only then can you evolve. only then can you be free. She then smiled and whispered, Soon, you won’t belong here anymore. I observed the pale figure, I open my mouth to speak. From the carriage outside, a deep voice boomed loud: We must leave now my sweet immortality we shall not be stuck in time
