The Moon's Lullaby

Hush, dear. For I will stay—here, with you, holding you; forever, just for tonight I shall watch you sleep, unaware of the dark and the starless sky: Just enough warmth and, of mother's tenderness, soft light Keeping you from all that make babies cry: Love, we know, knows not of Morns nor of Nights.
