The Moon Vision
I am the moon
I am here I do not swoon
I am at peace
Gravity embraces me, surrounds me
I am full but not always seen
My corridors of truth are hidden
The sun shines on me, but most do not see
I have my own arcane depths
A side of mystery, a side of secret
Not of darkness but a side of rebellious fire
The earth cannot see my desire
They won’t understand, my other half
My face of sonorous wrath.
I am flashed with light and create a dazzling glow
So celestial, so pure
But still a face of murmurous shadow
Every moon has a division
One side in the light, one in the dark
In darkness she will defend herself and prove her faith
Until the light enhances her beauty and sparks her glow.
No doubt she is of good
Something unknown is not to be feared
A sacred heart is not to be judged
She has her own surreal path, a way of devotion
Nothing to prove
She has herself
Still turning to the gorgeous sun to accept its never-ending grace.
But they must know
She isn’t always for show.
