the moon stares at me

the moon stares at me
ancient face pocked with craters
he loves my secrets

This is a beautiful and deeply evocative haiku! I love the personification of the moon as a silent, ancient confidant. The rugged visual imagery of the "ancient face pocked with craters" contrasts so wonderfully with the gentle, intimate idea that he holds your secrets. The poem has a wonderful, contemplative rhythm.🌗🌚🙊
