The magical moon is slender tonight In two weeks 'twill be slender and bright Another fortnight and back to slender Forsooth, it hasn't forgotten its (!) gender

The gender of the moon has since the beginning of time kept to its habitual motion of waxing and waning over a 28 day period. Clever the use of the word gender in your couplets. hugs and blessings, Jennifer
