The Moon and I

As I thought of you today
I saw you high up in the sky 
You floated behind a veil of clouds
You had me totally mesmerized!
You travelled down to the waters edge
To sit and listen to the things I said
You showed me now the brighter side
And bathed me in your flowing light
You always seemed to know my mood
As you sat so quietly, never to intrude
This attraction that we feel
Your silent pull, O you are so beautiful
I smile at you as you beam too
Your silver leaves a sparkle in my eyes!
