The Moon

way up in the sky a beautiful round sphere
oh so bright and oh so high up in the sky
When the curtain of darkness falls upon us all
the sky envelopes us all in it night grace.

The Moon Luna is behind it a presence a dreamful haze in the night
Bathing us all in it pools of shimmering
elegant silver lined light.  Filling our hearts
and minds with sleepful dreams of wonderous times.
Dreams that we know bring smiles to our sleeping lips

Filling our hearts with shining stars that engulf the sky
from a faint small one to a bright shining star
a beacon to many

The Moon Luna there for us to see a vision of beauty
far in the sky a beacon of light a guidance 
to the heart,  
A home to the millions of stars that surround it at night
