The Monster

another one from a school project no need to worry

The Monster
By Asianae Aikey

The monster wants to come out and play.
The monster just won’t go away.
The monster is lurking in the dark,
Waiting to stop my ever beating heart

The monster wants what is not its to take,
It takes it anyway.
The monster comes to me when I am low.
Hauntingly whispering in my ear.
Telling me to do it,
Telling me to end my life right here.

I knew there was no hope.
When I came for help
And got sent away
Knew there was no hope watching the world slowly fade to grey
Believe me when I said I wanted the pain to end,
Wanted everything to end.
The monster was hiding within me?
Me?
But I was just a kid!

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
