The Moment That I Wait

Stay my hand
and hear my yearning heart
how laughter from within
speaks of reason
which I do not understand
or even care to part
for from such warmth I know
there is a lesson to be learned
how being what I want
doesn't come by things I gain
nor happen just because
yet it is by everything
that love now teaches me to see
happiness begins
the moment that I wait.
