The Mistake

First, I made no mistake besides saying yes to you. I carefully cared for you and waited for you. The boys swoon at my feet just for a smile. I could’ve had my choice. You were my choice. How f*cking dare you accuse me of cheating. Bite my tongue. Cinnamon-fire heartburn fills my mouth. Fire in my blood, as my body language loudly says nothing. Find yourself a new star, because I am going supernova. Say goodbye to my light as I fade from your view, leaving you in lugubrious darkness. Return, albeit reluctantly, to your vapid existence without my wildfire starlight.
