The Missing Link
To the man God choose
I don't who you are
You may be nearer than I know
You may be very far.
I don’t know what you look like
Or how you feel or think
But I know you’re made for me
That you’re the missing link.
I wasn't shown the day or time
Or when we will finally meet
But i know that in God's time
Together we’re complete.
God showed me when I was young
That you’d come in my life
With expectancy I wait in hope
Ordained by God’s design.
Together we are destiny
With glory at the end
It’s bigger than the two of us
Too big to comprehend.
I know you’re out there, and you’re searching
And have not found me yet
Imagine when we finally meet
The blessing that we’ll get.
His signature will be upon
the both of us, it’s true
Our union will have Heaven’s witness
The kiss of morning’s dew.
Many counterfeits have come
To say that they are you
But God could not be found in them
His absence was the clue.
Even if I were to die in another day
If it’s not you but another
This is what I’ll say.
“I’m sorry sir, you are not him
My heart knows this for sure
The man that’s going to marry me
God has already secured.
You see, God made a promise
To me way long ago
Even though we havent met
By this I’ll surely know.
He will bring out the best in me even at my worst
Because the man that finds me
Will find me through God first.
