The Misfit

Growing up she got shuffled around,
not really gaining any family bonding ground,
her foster parents always cutting her lose,
too much to handle was always the excuse,
she felt neglected and emotionally abused,

Her social worker told her to be more polite,
maybe she'd get adopted because she was bright,
on her 18 birthday she gave up the foster plight,
becoming tough she said I'm able and I won't ever quit,
I'm going to make it in this world even though I'm a misfit!

Thank you so much Probir; when I was young my parents took in a foster child for a while and I often wondered what happened to her...
