The Misery of Mrs T

What are we having for tea mum?…wait and see

Better to keep schtum & play dumb back in 1980

Getting older dream of watching “A Team” on TV

Stellar clever fellas plan comes together with Amy

Hannibal will scheme & Murdoch still shocks Mr T

But don’t need an abacus to realise B A Baracus

Wasn’t married to the snotty dotty & potty Mrs T

Heart quickens plot thickens when first read Dickens

Surprised I was a pagan and scared by laird Fagan

Surmised Nancy spared not shared fancy of Reagan

Hope Ronnie with his red hair mare used a johnny

But Mr B movie and sister Mrs T did have a baby

We know incest seeds they did sow not so bonny

Myopian dystopian yet Thatcher believed utopian

Cash wrangling strangling Mother Nature’s fallopian

Deceived by bling fiscal frolics & right wing rollicks

Getting skunk drunk on gunk that stunk alcoholics

Shopaholics gall histrionics appall call it Reaganomics

Maggie’s gory story was like a dog always shaggy

Agog glory of binging markets impinging & singeing

Stingey whinging while always swinging her baggie

Give every Miner a shiner in all day capitalist diner

Society burning but not learning & not for turning

Welcome to hell…Sell Sell Sell all our finer china

A menace with old Dennis and his chrome dome

Sold for gold we’re told every council terrace home

Scold every benefit cheat while cold elite free to roam

Sinister Mags brags of new revolution heaven sent

Hits Minister with handbags inside the gilded tent

Hell bent splinter protest to prevent spleen vent

Clear intent to continue the winter of discontent

45 years on some will say she is still the number one

Media spun does encumber undone market the don

Privatised.. the poor marginalised then just demonised

No one’s surprised that culture’s gone.. been marmalised

Egregious & devious vulture with previous now normalised

Token nightmares are reawoken well everything’s broken

Maggie did share her legacy laid bare her heir was Tony Blair

Still in the sh*t Farage shrill barrage every gambit spoken

So no smirks not just Friedman quirks nothing ever works

Shareholder slaughter our water don’t taste like it oughter

Perks & bung for well hung bankers so called young turks

Ripsnorter politics from remember a shop keepers daughter

Random fandom toast most ghoulish host foolish boast phantom

We unfurl so let’s hurl an angry anthem at the girl from Grantham
