The Mirror of Life

The flowers were blooming everywhere.
The wind as if drenched by its fragrance,
Blew slowly through the alleys.
To keep the scent alive.

Then came those hot sunny days.
The sun all fiesty,
Shining bright from behind the trees.
The whole world at its mercy.

Months go by, the brightness now dimmed,
But still enough to make the world,
Shiver at his command.
The fire still lit behind those eyes.

But at last it's the dust we belong to
The place we come from the place we go back to.
It's time now to back up from the light
Cause there are more like you wating to shine.

But that fragrance is undead,
As are the beautiful flowers of spring in our hearts.
Seldom staying in our remembrance.
Go ahead lad and shush the silence that birthed them all.
