Awoken from dream’s blackened veil
Thrust into this forsaken place
Madness and uncertainty consume
Seemingly hidden from God’s grace

Undetermined friend or foe
His gaze a vulgar display
His silent screams go unknown
Frantically tearing flesh from bone
My horrors turned to reality
This mask I can no longer shed
The man that I see … is Me ...
