The Miracle Worker

The Miracle Worker

He had chosen his path amidst a rainbow in the dark
A chosen road in which to cross amidst the misery & sod
Padre Pio was such man with an intense heart & plan
He trusted in Jesus to get him through each day
Very often you would see him in mass to bow the knee to pray
Every human heart that he touched with stigmata in his hand
A real beacon of light to a much hurting world in need
The spirit of truth sent by the holy spirit in which to achieve
He sought a blind world filled with tempers of fire
Never a lying tongue was ever filled with such a desire
He walked the pilgrims highway in search of souls to love
Shelter lies dormant amidst it's beckoning plough
A lone blade of grass ever drifting in the wind
The chance to breath again with both family & friend
A loving heart in which you could grow to depend
The miracle worker touched the hearts of many
A white dove drifting into the outer banks of the heavenlies
We will never forget his presence & warm smile
The call for freedom's quest as he walked the extra mile
From every test that came his way in order to fulfill life's trial
Padre Pio lives on in the memory of the faithful adoring hearts
If ever a time we needed you that time is certainly now
