The Miracle of Marilyn

This story will tell of God’s little miracles Revealed through the kindness of a friend But now Lord, it’s she that’s in dire need So Father please I ask a miracle for Marilyn. The first of times I most needed her Never once did I ever have to ask She lifted me up when I was down And stole my tears so I would laugh. And when I felt shamefully weak For fear of failure or always being wrong She said, “To be wrong can be alright And remember it’s the fear that isn’t strong!" And most of all she lovingly taught That with God’s acceptance I’ll always be More tolerant of others and myself Because finally, I can love me. “If miracles are heavenly creations Of God’s most blessed love Then Marilyn you have your miracle Because this is what you are made of!” Brenda Elizabeth Rose
