The Mini General Lee and I
A glorious mountain
Too slow of a climb
A boring waterfall
Escargot
We are climbing a glorious mountain
In the Smoky Mountains National Park
To see a boring waterfall.
When you see a waterfall, all of them look
The same,
No matter how spectacular they are.
We are moving so slow
That a snail moves faster,
And we can cook Escargot
by the time
that we reach the waterfall.
The Mini General Lee
Burning rubber
Having fun
Lunch
I drive my wheelchair down the mountain
as if I am driving like Beau Duke,
Not caring if I am on the edge
Practically falling off
Because I am burning rubber
To get to lunch
Before my family
Eat all of the sandwiches
Plus I am starving.
