The Messiah

Yes I know what you've been told,
but my love for you will never grow old.
Some people hate me.
There are those who will try to debate me,
but if you want to believe in me
then prepare to be called crazy.
'Cause I'm the man who's here to take you higher.
You best believe baby, they call me the Messiah,

I'm the Messiah! Hmmm.
I'm the Messiah! Hmmm.
I'm the Messiahhh! Hmmm.
I'm here to take you higher. Hmmm.
Whoa, I'm the savior!
I'm here to save ya!
I'm the Messiah! Wooo, hoo, hooo!

I was born within a mangy, manger.
Before I opened my eyes, my life was full of danger.
I didn't even know what this life was all about.
Had evil king who wanted to take me out.
So my parents stashed me far away,
So I can preach the word some fine, sunny day. Hey!

I'm the Messiah! Hmmm.
I'm the Messiah! Hmmm.
I'm the Messiahhh! Hmmm.
I'm here to take you higher. Hmmm.
Whoa, I'm the savior!
I'm here to save ya!
I'm the Messiah! Wooo, hoo, hooo!

No other God can stand before my grace.
I told the devil to get up out my face.
So many people want to take my place,
But they fall to their knees once I give em a little taste
of my word, 'cause I'm  the Lord.
Whoa I'm the Messiah! Wooo, hoo, hooo!

I was betrayed by one of the ones I loved.
He didn't know, I knew who he was.
He didn't even realize he had a hand in destiny.
My destiny to be nailed to the cross on Calvary
and when I died, the ground it shook like thunder
I bet you then everyone began to wonder.

Was he the Messiah? Hmmm.
Is he the Messiah? Hmmm.
Yes I am the Messiahhh! Hmmm.
I'm here to take you higher. Hmmm.
Whoa, I'm the savior!
I'm here to save ya!
I'm the savior, who died for your sins.
I'm the savior who's here to take you higher 'cause
I'm the Messiah! Wooo, hoo, hooo!
