The Melting Gaze of the Sun
While the sun lent breath to the moon,
Steadily dropping the dusk of its guileless veil
Oh! Such eagerness in demise, I'd never seen
Madness dripping from the darkest skies, and beneath I sit;
Crumbling into my own existence, picking drops off the floor,
Where my weary fingers attempt to stitch madness, to sanity;
But rebel are the trembling hands, like they have been always before!
Nay! Madness shall prevail, sinking into my skin, running rivers through my wrinkles…
And I, I overflow with lunacy in a mask of self-deceit drowned in fury ,
As the battering ocean quickly surrounds the desert of my ill-stitched core;
I scream, I perish; I am consumed by your void, I implore!
Drown me deep, where your depth sees no light and darkness breaks shackles!
Drown me deeper! And there, I shall meet and find my shore;
Nay! Make me linger in your void, that's where I belong,
Oh! Such eagerness, where death trembles with the fear of life…
Where am I? I do not know, I resist knowing, tie me down;
Tie me down to the ignorant shrieks of your baffling lore!
Tie me down to the liberty of being shackled, for liberated is my gaze,
And I'm seeing life, and I'm seeing you, like never before!
Tie me down, till I breathe my last, till the startling end of your illusive haze,
Nay! Nay! Your moon is a lie, a misleading décor,
Oh! Such eagerness, but no truth in its breath…
