The Melody Nature Plays

I behold nature in her full melody,
When birds sing and their songs engrave in gold,
When winds howl and their hums caress ears,
When frogs croak and their notes pluck banjo strings,
When emptiness resounds like thunders on bass drums.

I love seeing nature in pyjamas,
When stars peek through the dark with their shine,
When the moon lights space in silver glow,
When the sun shines at dawn and its brilliance blooms,
When rainbow arcs paint the wet twilight’s sky with their elegance,
When clouds make us think heaven is within a stone's throw.

How glorious nature looks in beautiful colours,
When flowers bloom and their radiance beautifies the eyes,
When leaves adorn colours with different hues of autumn,
When rain falls and turns the yellow fields to gleaming greens.

I watch nature bare her full nakedness,
When light covers expanse of days with its whispers,
When darkness shields the vastness of night with its coat,
When the ocean uses colours to conceal its nakedness,
When the earth rises as hills and falls as valleys.

I love seeing nature's lectures outside the classroom,
When it teaches its ways to smooth our ways,
By teaching us how to fly while just watching the birds fly,
By making us conquer oceans through seeing how the fish swim,
And by showing us the soil—our humble beginning—
To remind us what we're made of, and why we thrive.
