The Medical Emergency Bracelet

The Medical Emergency Bracelet

By Elton Camp

Many wear bracelets, others to apprise
What to do if an emergency should arise

“If you find me in trouble, please if you will
Under my tongue put a nitroglycerine pill.”

“I am extremely allergic to penicillin, you see
Just one injection could very easily kill me.”

“I suffer from an extreme form of diabetes.
Remember that fact when you treat me, please.”

LeRoy decided it’d be wise to get one too
For the one thing he needed someone to do

“If you find me lying helpless at your feet,
Before all else, my browser history delete.”

beautiful poem, well written. In such a windy and snowy day, reading this piece just completes my relaxation. What a poem!

Thanks for reading and for your comment. I live in Alabama, so there's no snow, but it's a rainy day with prospects of high wind and hail tonight. Elton

Thanks, I like to have unexpected endings to what I write, but haven't done that as much lately to avoid becoming too predictable. Elton
