The Meaning of Life
Many of us have pondered
The true meaning of life
I finally found the answer
According to my wife
A man is supposed to get married
As the woman becomes his queen
He's supposed to nod in agreement
But never be heard or seen
He has to do the dishes
And put them all away
Pick up all the dirty clothes
And wash them everyday
He has to take the trash out
Put the lid down on the toilet
Fix her egg for breakfast
And don't forget to boil it
Always answer, "Yes dear"
No matter what she said
Don't forget to change the sheets
Each time you make the bed
Take her poodle for it's walk
When it scratches at the door
Don't forget to sweep and mop
Before you wax the floor
Be sure and do the windows
There better not be no streaks
Fix them noisy stairsteps
And make sure none of them creaks
The meaning of life sounds tiresome
So you better get started right away
My wife was always the smart one
Or, at least, that's what she'll say
