The Meaning of Deliberate
Means you've taken time
to become fully aware
without staring
forming portraits
from mere glimpses
always thinking,
I shouldn't be drawing
these kinds of conclusions
but I love materializing
illusions
Going slow means you've
taken account that her skin
is as delicate as the tissue
she used to dry her eyes
the night before.
You careful uncrumble
her reasons
placing kisses
in all of her creases
Slow means you've calibrated
her flame to where her soul burns
blue, eternally for you.
Turn it down and her yearning goes insane
Turn it up and she'll swear she shouldn't
be a participant
Dial it in just right
and desire and restraint
crosses the finish line
at the same time.
Go slow. Don't rush.
Fingertip through her mind
so she erases all her old contacts.
And looks for phone booths,
transforming into
superwoman, just for you.
Uncover her strength.
Unleash her gift.
Let it be known that
you're her kryptonite,
she willingly consumes
Slowly, now my dear.
Your hero has appeared
