The Meaning of Amazing
Our church assisted a halfway house with certain goods and services.
As my wife and I delivered some things one day, a staffer seems to
have been overwhelmed by the generosity extended to them. With
gratitude in her heart, she said, "You people are amazing". For a
moment I did not know how to respond to such a comment. I knew
deep in my heart that God alone deserved the credit. So, in a reply
I am certain came from the aid of the Holy Spirit, I responded by saying,
"We serve an amazing God". We are not amazing, but we serve a God who is.
