The Mature Buck
As the very mature buck with full rack__
With gray in thinning sienna coat__ paws
Outside my fully ripe apple orchard
Longing now once again to enter
As he peers through the peeling lattice fence
Into the garden that is hanging with__
Luscious fruit __ he longs to eat forbidden
Juicy apples that are ripe for picking
As I quietly long for the touch__words
Of my lover's__ tenderly caress me
Words __of his love and protection care that
Are lasting secure..Come my love, come now
