The Master Plan A year has gone past As I take my last My last what, I hear you say My last day, I sit and pray Trying to retrieve any happy thoughts Oh wait there, I used to love my mother’s freshly cut bread toast Now all has gone, leaving an empty throne A place which used to be my home Where once I did stand tall But inside, I was always feeling small Puny, pathetic, a miserable man That once upon a time tried to hold together the clan Now it’s time to lie down, pills in my hand Am I working to the master plan?
