The Mask

A woman stands before a mirror, paint the mask the world want's to see.
Avoid the steps, precaution taken, no time to spare.
Watch the scale, commercial appears, you can look beautiful too.
With fall comes the falling of leaves and passions that ignite like fire.
Fall to flatter with every outcome, till nights sparkle shines away.
A night can move fast or slow, as time allows it to.
Tick Tock! Tick Tock! you freeze, and stare at the clock, time stops!
The mask comes off, and free you are once again.

It's easy putting on a mask, hard to accept once it's off, in my case.. Love this Marulyn,, A nice warm WELCOME to poetry soup. I hope you enjoy being part of the community.
