The Mask

You watch me walk
Down the road
You notice the twinkle
Of a smile

You nod at me
As I walk past
You acknowledge the grace
Of a simple greeting

Yet, as we move along
I notice, that in you
I observe what you noticed in me:
The Mask of Humanity.

A most thought provoking piece! How reluctant we are to display our true feelings and our essential being... Brilliant my friend! Best wishes, Keith
