The Marriage Proposal
I have waited this length of years for you,
desiring the sun to set on your will.
I followed you closely as my love grew.
At your own very command I stood still,
when you called me with your sweet sounding voice.
I have enslaved my own will for your choice.
For your tears I provide my own shoulder.
I am none else but your beauty's beholder.
Do accept my ring as I humbly kneel.
Your swift response will my anxiety heal.
