The Man I Love

The Man I Love

Who is this man I love?
I ask myself each day
He came into my life
And here he plans to stay.

He holds me when I cry
Saying all will be okay
And to trust his love for me
It is here forever and a day

He walked into my soul
Leaving his footprints deep
Confirming his love and devotion
Saying I need never weep.

He has wrapped his love around me
In a circle of love evermore
My heart swells with such emotion
Overflowing with all that is in store

So I need him to understand
I believe he was sent from above
And I say thank you to God in heaven
For sending this man that I love.

Such a lovely romantic piece Connie, telling well the love of your life with lovely rhyme and flow. I must look at more of your writings as I see you're a rhymer like me. Hope you're doing good, blessings from Scotland, Gordon

The way you have written about him, I would say he's a lucky guy. Another fine write.
