The Man From Afar

Watching you from afar is easy
Your smile, your light, your seductive eyes
Such a sight to behold
Making my heart flutter with each passing moment
Wondering if you dare to look my way
Your infectious laugh echoes throughout the room
And then you suddenly look up and catch my glance
I avert my stare, but you still know
You always know
And with just that hint of eye contact
You've sent my soul ablaze
Oh how I wish you knew the power you held
The edge of your smile rises just a bit
And I beam in return
Farewell, until our eyes meet again
