The Man behind the title
God, mankind has given thee many titles, yet both Heaven and Earth are yours
Before the very beginning of time, men hallowed thy name
Giving glory and praise for gratitude belongs to you
For you are known as the everlasting one, the Creator of all living things
Magnificent, Awesome and Great
The Keeper of all gates
Who can challenge or oppose thee and be blameless or free
No man can stand at thy right hand and utter
That he is greater or more powerful than thee
Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end
The First and the Last who is greater than thee
Power, peace, wisdom, strength, hope, faith, and might best describe thee
Your covenant and laws sustain life
Man of knowledge, truth, love and war, you restore, forgive, deliver, protect and remain the same
The Shepherd, the saviour who shelters, comforts and heals
The Light and fire that consumes and sets my soul free.
