The Man

I see him out of the corner of my eye
as I'm slowly passing by
His coat all ragged, his shirt is torn
His shoes are dirty and oh so worn
His hair is long and he needs a shave
He's trying so hard to be brave
I carefully walk up to him looking him in the eye
Wondering how he's getting by
How can I help you?
Would you like to eat?
Let me help you to your feet
God sent me to you today
I'm here to teach you how to pray
Believe in him and he'll carry you through
And once again you'll feel like new
