The Maiden Speech
My school had conducted an oratorical competition No one had given his or her name for it, My class teacher forced me to participate in the contest , And I had no idea regarding the up-coming disaster
Small Saving was the topic, teacher said politely, At that stage I didn't know anything about the topic Anyhow I went to the library anyway and gathered some points. I stood before the mirror and did a rehearsal .
My father shouted at me when it was twelve I was woken up by my mother in the morning My elder brother asked me,if I had prepared well. I nodded and moved towards the school like a snail
The competition was held at exactly four o'clock ,
Many participants came to my school's auditorium , when my name was called,I stepped on the stage , I stood like a statue and I had forgotten everything.
One of the judges had advised me to take the paper and read I felt shy, so I had no choice but to read the essay Most of my friends laughed at and ridiculed me. The teacher said" Failure is a stepping stone to success.
