The Lunar Glow of Memory
The Lunar Glow of Memory
I didn't know you'd come with moon in eyes, descending through stations of dream and ink,
With feline gait bewitching, pendulating through rays of amber gleam and brink,
Your presence bizarre as an uncanny tale, magnetic as a velvet storm's embrace,
Stirred turbid desires in my soul, my ocean of night shivered through time and space.
You wandered lost through molten sunlight on your face, dreaming ever forward still,
Avoiding my investigating gaze, seeking other constellations burning with thrill,
Behind you lost hopes floated like silver butterflies, sighs suspended in the air,
From your unsettling memory, from the narrow crystal of great destinies we share.
The sunset saw you passing discreetly toward the station of dusk and silence deep,
Dominant as an ancient fairy from tales of light and honey that we keep,
I offered to escort you to the gate, but your rare lunar glow and flame,
Whispered to me you're leaving for the future era, to times of clearer light that came.
I listened, remaining distant, with regrets hung suspended in my chest of dreams,
On memories like ships drifting through cosmos of unconquered horizons' gleams,
I still glimpse you on time's redoubt as a passing shadow, melancholic, free,
Gazing from seductive dream toward me, eternal, magical being, symphony.
The stream of consciousness brings me your face like waves of sidereal amber glow,
Metaphor of moon that flows through veins of these astral dimensions below,
You're comparison with time that never returns, epithet of alchemical yearning deep,
In the station of your memory I remain the eternal wanderer bewitched, melancholic cosmic sleep.
