The Lullaby of Spring

The birds are back around the leafless tree Chanting and mesmerizing the enduring glee Creek noisily brings its current to the wounding plea As the winter cries, hastily flee The frosty wind has long been gone The air has become a thinning balm While it plays my long and dainty mane It soars me up to welcome the purest rain While this could be the grandest sight The blooming of all that was blight The earth is painted, flowers all white In the quietest moment of the night The moon is waxing with all its might I could clearly understand now In between my confusing brows Why seasons have to come and go To let us know That life too, can swing to and fro.
