The Love You Left Behind
My love is with you, but I can't take,
All of your ups and downs and indecisive ways,
I cannot forget you, or stop loving you, it hurts my soul,
That fear took your heart, unable to show,
I shared everything with you, every piece of my life,
Everything that went on in my heart and my mind,
Never in my life was I able to give so much,
All of my time, all of my love,
I made constant effort to stand by your side,
I truly believed you were the love of my life,
The pain I feel is unbearable to face,
And I have no choice but to walk away,
There Is nothing easy about getting over you,
It was never about what you said, it's about what you do,
I gave my whole heart for you to throw it away,
How could you take advantage of this,
One day you'll remember and the tables will turn,
Of the love you left behind, the one that was true...
