THE LOVE OF MOVIES AND A GOOD BOOK

4.In Time.

I find myself looking forward to the future,
Anticipating all our problems.
How we will fix them 'cause I have so much hope in us.
Trusting our belief in God,
Yet not knowing how I feel about how different we sometimes are.
While we are so alike where it matters,
I'm trying to figure out how not to die a little inside over the little things I overthink.
'Cause I'm such a whimsical weirdo
And you the coolest girl in class.
I come with insecurities I haven't told you about,
While you are a mother and the oldest child.
I need to get a grip and you need to let loose,
So let me twirl you amidst a field of daisies.
I would have loved to have a picnic and do taxes with you.
These are just my ideas,
Do you want to tell me what to do?
Your father set you a good example of what a man is,
but I had to learn to love myself as a human being.
I will till the soil should I have to,
But do you want to come and build sandcastles with me.
I have found love is not a compromise,
But a commute.
So let's always come home to our fragile dreams in our off days.
