The Love of God

People tend to get the connection between religion and relationships confused
we need to learn to distinguish which one would be more important to us if we lose
Jesus the Christ was born solely to die for our salvation
high on a cross on Mount Calvary His final destination
from the moment that Adam and Eve ate from the forbidden fruit tree
the shadow of the cross appeared thus perpetrating mankind's destiny

Jesus was the ransom, He was a symbol of God's unconditional love
He was a gift sent to us from the Heavens up above
He was a dead man walking, He was the sacrificial Lamb of God
His blood to wash away all the sin and unrighteousness in our hearts
the Crucifixion has already been put into place
the Resurrection was God's saving grace
the favor and grace of God that to us has been freely giving
the love of God that allows the spirit of Jesus to keep on living

we need to understand its not because of anything we say or do
its simply the love of God which flows towards you
its not about anything that is man-made
its all about the love that to us God gave
as you didn't find God, it was God who found you
He's always been there waiting for you to come to

So now shout Hallelujah and give God all the praise
fall down on your knees and let your hands to Him be raised
just receive the love of God that is coming towards thee
a gift that's been given to us totally and completely free
