The Love of a Homeland

Looking out at the dark night sky I see the stars as they travel by The clouds floating in the dark sky Give a person a reason to fly What a beautiful sight to see the sun begin to rise The colors of pink blue and orange Shining in the once dark sky What is the place I speak of I call it home but most call it mountain country The glow of the sun on the mountain side Brings joy and love to life Seeing through the eyes of a child You can see the colors in a different light What’s it like to live in the mountains The mountain sky fills with clouds and the trees start to frown But falling down from the sky is rain And a rainbow shows in the mountain frame A frame with so much to show A frame with color and beauty that flow What you ask is this song about Its about my home My country My homeland The place that I most love
