The Love I Once Had

The love I once had

I wander through this darkened place
void of all emotional space.
Looking for some one to help me
some one who can show me
the love I once had..

Ever searching
I find that something,
someone to help me 
who can also show me
the love I once had.

Though he seems alright
even on the darkest of nights
Im not sure he’s the one to help me,
the one to show me
the love I once had.

I think at most he can be a friend,
the type who can show kindness though not in bed.
Yes at times he does help me,
but not the help to show me
the love I once had.

How long must I wait,
to see him come to my gate.
To walk to me with loving arms 
and give me the love I once had.
