The Lotus
Like a phoenix, I have risen
Reborn, strengthened, renewed
Months spent in solitude
Reflecting on experiences in magnitude
Discovering my life’s purpose
Not wanting to become worthless
Unsure who to turn to next
I placed all weight on myself
To fix the issues within
First
Before I’m ready to begin
To be in that space again
But I’m filled with pure happiness
Happiness on another level
Ignoring all the devils
That try to meddle
With the happiness I have found
And that makes me proud
Because now I am ready to be crowned
As someone who’s profound
In finding herself
To the old girl, I say farewell
The new girl is out her shell
Re-surfaced and Re-centred
And this one will be remembered.
