The Lost Poet

Drunk on the last chance
extinguish the veiled hope
poetry is a lonely business
ideas for a want for them
feels like a warren
barred of words

For want of a audience
a lost grain
like smitten martinets
a reclusive party for two
awaits you

Hollow words
unwarp your plans
To touch the earth
and see the birth
of something new
