The Lost Jewel

Amongst the filthy rags
Of the wraiths’ fleeing

What they left behind

A soft glowing could be seen

A lost Shadowfire

Whose could it be?

What does it mean?

Lost jewel in the forest of green

That wraiths had in their possession

Something of extraordinary beauty

Piercing cry from the eagle above

I looked upward

And knew

What I had in my hand

Must be given

The eagle turned to the west

It had led me here

I felt in my heart

What was true

What was best

That Moondust and I

Must carry the Shadowfire

To a new land
